Activities

The purpose of the Foundation is to study, define, promote and spread business strategies that respect the obligation of sustainability (environmental, social, economic). This goal is reached through three guidelines:

  • Information and Networking
  • Tools and Projecting
  • Advice

NETWORKING

o COMITATO SCIENTIFICO: cycle of conferences in Milan with leading experts and academics. Free access;
o INCONTRI A TEMASAPERE&SAPORI”: thematic dinners proposed by the Foundation where members are invited to illustrate their own experience or successful business case. Free participation and fixed price determined by the restaurant;
o MATCHING MOMENT: residential meeting open to all members of the Foundation, which aims to promote each other’s knowing and the start of joint initiatives linked to sustainability issues;
o CONVEGNI: conferences organized by members or partners, in which PLEF has been actively involved.

PROGETTI

The Foundation works by developing and implementing its own projects and in collaboration with members, all related to Sustainability.

In turn, members can develop their projects with the support of the original tools and know-how of the foundation, improving the competitive profile and direct competences on matter. They may also find within the network of the Foundation a useful help in the project development.

STRUMENTI

The Foundation carries out important studies, models, projects, issues and management tools, all developed in accordance with its own purposes.
Currently the original and exclusive operational tools made by PLEF, exploiting the sum of managerial experience of its members, are:

  1. VISION
    Basic management training course for top managers focuses on strategic and applicative vision of Sustainability and Planomia for businesses.
  2. PLESI – PLANET LIFE ECONOMY SUSTAINABILITY INDEX
    Survey that allows you to make the point of the company in relation to the issues of Sustainability and Planomia, before a possible evolution of short, medium and long term.
  3. PLECAS – PLANET LIFE ECONOMY CONSUMER AWARENESS SURVEY
    Model research on the consumer / customer, that allows the company to better understand how to evolve product and brand policies crossing the expectations and needs observed in accordance with the specific lens of Sustainability and Planomia.
  4. PLECAM – PLANET LIFE COMMUNICATION APPRAISAL MODEL
    Evaluation scheme for the advertising campaigns of products / services / companies, able to estimate the real effectiveness according to some specific criteria.
    Inside the PLECAM elements appear linked to the Ethical and sustainable principles of the message, also tending to avoid risks of “Green Wash”.

 

These tools can be immediately used by all companies, individually or in aggregate, because they are interconnected: VISION provides the basic framework for cultural and strategic application; PLESI identifies the point of the current company situation; PLECAS connects this situation with the expectations of the consumer / client in order to make the interventions effective; PLECAM guarantees that the offer presented on the market is consistent with everything that was realized and that it is still effective in communication terms; PLEFAS provides a technical support to undertake specific and properly address a new path of sustainability in the company (see below, under ADVICE).

SERVICES

The realization of the right balance between the needs of the planet and the needs of the market can’t be separated from the cooperation and the sharing of experiences and commitment of all.
The objective of this area dedicated to services is precisely to stimulate interest and participation in the achievement of the objectives of the Foundation in order to support the evolution of the compatibility among the environment, the society and the market.

ADVICE

The Foundation can count on a team of 25 internal consultants qualified in business solutions that respect the bond of Sustainability. PLEF works with its consulting specialist team (PLEFAS) supporting companies in their strategic course of evolution and bringing them gradually to an overall regeneration, with the help of scientific and operational collaboration of many other national excellent organizations.

 

PLEFAS – PLANET LIFE ECONOMY FOUNDATION ADVISORY SYSTEM
Specialized consultation service that uses the tools and the know-how developed by the Foundation; this service is offered through in collaboration with associated professionals and a network of partner organizations.

PUBBLICAZIONI

Since the beginning the Foundation has published three books; you can find more information in the Publishing section. Additionally PLEF writes a column on Affari Italiani entitled “Le pillole di Plef – Oltre la Green Economy” (you can find all the items in the appropriate section).
